The USI CDFI Bootcamp & Challenge is a free business development program designed to help entrepreneurs strengthen existing businesses through expert training, coaching, and practical business planning.

Program Overview

The USI CDFI Bootcamp & Challenge is a free business development program designed to help entrepreneurs strengthen and grow existing for-profit businesses. Through expert-led training, one-on-one coaching, peer collaboration, and practical business planning, participants gain the knowledge, tools, and confidence to build a stronger business.

Over the course of six virtual sessions, participants explore topics including customer discovery, business strategy, financial management, funding, and pitch development. Those who successfully complete the program earn a USI Small Business Certificate, and eligible participants may choose to compete in their local Pitch Challenge for the opportunity to receive business funding.

You may be eligible if you:

✔ Are 18 years or older

✔ Live in a participating USI community

✔ Own a legally formed, for-profit business (LLC, S-Corp, C-Corp, or DBA)

✔ Are ready to strengthen and grow your business

More Than a Bootcamp

Eligible participants will have the opportunity to showcase their business in the USI CDFI Pitch Challenge, where entrepreneurs compete for business funding and gain valuable exposure.

Up to $50,000 in funding available

*$200,000 awarded across four participating communities

CostThere is no cost to participate. The program is fully funded for accepted participants.
